Piper is a local school teacher and lives so close we are just over the county line--4 miles away--from each other. How kool is that?
She is in the queue today but will wait her turn for us to get this done together. And if we don't finish her very large quilt in a day, no problem. She'll keep coming back until we do.
Nov 08: First contact by phone. Preview picture.
Nov 14: Piper came by today to start prepping her quilt. The top & the muslin backing needed a good pressing. All those lovely wrinkles and what only looks likes puckers are gone! She wants to use Baptist Fan Almost to give this a historical look. We'll be using a So Fine! variegated thread #701 Didgeridoo (med. brown, lt. gold, tan). The weekend is out so we will finish the setup on Monday including programming, thread, batting and loading.
Nov 19: Piper found three patterns she likes for this quilt so we programmed all three options. The quilt is now loaded and basted. Begin quilting tomorrow.
Nov 20: Butterfly Garden it is. Quilting. Piper brought a friend with her--Diane. Together we got 5 of 9 rows done. Will finish on Friday.
Nov 22: Finished last 4 rows. Quilted!
