I have a beautiful "Batik Beauty" lap quilt for sale & two more in progress. I must say very slow progress indeed but they are started. And now I will never finish them but this is a very good thing!!
Last Saturday 09 /24, I received an email from someone very much excited about this quilt and the fabrics. So she has agreed to buy my in-progress tops as a single kit!! Turns out, she already knew about Ye Olde Forest Quilt shop and then found my website. So how about that!! The best part is I met a new quilting friend.
Sep 10, 2011: Purchased the kit. This is the project for the class I was going to take this past weekend (Sept 10). I got it cut out before the class started & got to hear the tips for doing pinwheels. That alone was worth it! I didn't get to do any of the sewing as I was suddenly busy getting specs for some longarming projects. Joan has agreed to do the piecing making this a some day next Spring J&L project.
Sep 15: Shipped to Joan along with her Cowboys quilt.
When I unrolled the 12 piece fat quarter bundle of Stonehenge fabrics by Northcott, I saw what I really had. Oh yes! That dark blue & green batik is used only on the 2nd border. The focal fabric & 3rd border are the same. The background is the lightest batik we could find with just a hint of pale yellow.
