Jan 17: Just thinking severe night leg cramps might be eased by a warm quilt. Greg (recent longarm trainee) selected the fabrics and I threw together today this simple no-piece quilt. He will help longarm it when he gets a chance. NOT. I did it.
Jan 26:I prepped & started loading Greg's quilt. When he got here, I showed Greg where the patterns were online. He selected the dragon & "On the Wild Side". I will place 5 dragons on the quilt filled in with text. I must have deleted my wild side pattern so while I was working on recreating it, Greg did most of the loading. Loaded ready to quilt once I finish the programming.
Jan 27: Programmed. Quilting in sections - a total of 22. Two rows (8 sections) are done. Waited for Greg to see before rolling.
Jan 28: Quilted. Made a black binding. Attaching it.
Jan 29: Hand binding...
Feb 01: Bound.
Two Years in the Making
WoW - Stands for Will O'Wisp, the quilt pattern from Not Your Grandmother's Log Cabin book.
This is my second one. It really is a log cabin quilt but with 60 instead of 90 degree angles.

The Real Costume
When I visited Frank last week at the assisted living facility as I do every Sunday, I noticed he did not sit back in his recliner which can't recline because there isn't room in his small room. I wondered if a pillow wouldn't work nicely for him. Today we tested the idea with one of his bed pillows wrapped in the small quilt I made for him last November. Perfect. His favorite color is red. As we chatted, the pattern he liked was a hound/hunting dog. He has owned many in his lifetime. Picked up a pillow and some red fabric on the way home. While washing the fabric, I created my design. The quilting went fast. Used wool batting from among my remnants to accentuate the quilting. I like it. Can't wait for Tuesday to give it to him.
This is a modification of a quilt posted on MSQC. I removed the sashing.
