Perfect project for this time of year to cheer things up,
making it feel like Spring.
Nov 22: Janet brought her quilt by. It was so nice to select a pattern and thread together on the spot. Even though Janet lives about 15 miles away, she will not be helping with this one. Running a thriving restaurant in West Jefferson is more than enough for her to manage. Ah, but we had a delightful time planning this one together.
Dec 3: Loaded. Quilting. Using wool batting. Janet, much to my surprise, the back is not showing any of the top thread. Yeah!
Dec 4: Quilted. Surprise delivered in person. Tis the season.
Janet, a local gal, called today. Tomorrow we will do this quilt she made for her daughter.
Aug 07: Janet and hubby, Ron, just dropped off the quilt. Threads & pattern are selected.
Aug 08: Loaded thread, cut batting and pressed backing & top while waiting for Janet & Ron to get here. IQ is programmed. Just got a call that Janet is delayed until noon so I am going to load and go ahead with the quilting in the interim 2 hours. Janet got here on schedule & we hit the ground running. And quilted! Janet mentioned while we were working that these are fabrics used in her daughter's childhood dresses. She bought enough then to make this quilt now.
