This hand pieced quilt top
is a family heirloom.
Folks just don't make
many like this any more.
I am Margaret Avery's sister-in-law
and have a quilt top just like the one you quilted for her. It's probably in the same condition as hers because it was made by "Granny" at about the same time.

Jul 21: Cut binding strips. Waiting to here from Jane regarding final decision on her pattern & density.
Jul 25: Given every opportunity to select something unique for her quilt, Jane is sticking with her original desire to have this quilted the same size and pattern as her sister's. And so it shall be 6 arcs of Baptist Fan 1.5" apart in 9" rows.
Jul 26: I decided to prewash the backing since the fabrics in top were not new when pieced.
Jul 27: Using white thread.

Jul 30: Stayed up all night to finish the binding.
