Becky & Tom are at the cabin today. They are both neighbors in West Jefferson & residents of Winston-Salem & customers of Ye Olde Forest. HA!
The fabric is flannel, the prints are traditional Scottish tartans.
Feb 02: Met & worked--squared the top & backing, selected thread and pattern. Talked. Decided on wool batting rather than the W&N they had on hand. Talked some more. Spent time online & on IQ considering patterns & density. Took a break to get burgers at a local diner--best anywhere. Introduced my new friends to longarming as I started quilting one that is loaded. Tom is planning to build Becky a nice work table like mine so that is darn kool too. Off and headed back to Winston-Salem about 1.5 hours away. When the time comes, we can go straight to work since we did a lot of the prep work today.
Feb 24: I emailed Becky that I was available & they were next in the queue. Becky is limited to weekends. No go for Mar 01-02. I asked her to tell me when.
Mar 08-09: Big snow event so my driveway was inaccessible.
Apr 05: Becky came today to help with the quilting. And we finished in a day. Didn't even stop to take pictures but made up for it afterwards. Becky says she is glad to have this done since she made the quilt for Tom as a Christmas present 2 years ago.
