Oct 30: First email contact.
Nov 01: Phone chat. As we talked I couldn't help remembering the Sweet Pea panto Donna Kleinke designed from my Where Smiles Are Born logo. Adora loved the idea with the princess being outlined into a no-sew zone rather than quilted. Being a brat sometimes, I dared to ask about the expression on the princess ... well a real princess can sense any imperfection, even a pea under a stack of mattresses. The expression reflects how that pea felt to her thus proving she was a real princess indeed. When I asked about the yellow ... she was just guessing here ... it was not used in any of the other fabrics & thus helped the rest stand out. Mind you, Adora did not pick the yellow, only the kit. LOL. Had to stop binding long enough to play. Quilt be shipped soon. Curious now how this will turn out.
Nov 07: It's here. Posted photos.
Nov 08: Thread selection: Magnifico #2058 Sundrenched.
Nov 09: Working on density. Going for medium dense due to so much white space in the pattern.
Nov 13: Loaded thread & set tension. Crazy day here so not much else.
Nov 14: Need to do some prep work. On the backing, want to redo seam to remove salvage & must square top & bottom. Back & top prepped. Loaded. Quilting.
Nov 15: We debated long and hard about whether to go denser. FInally decided to leave well enough alone. Quilted down to the last section. Will tackle the bed skirt tomorrow.
Nov 16: Mapped out a plan for the bed skirt. Finished the quilt.
