02/09/2012 returned not quilted
So, this is a first. I cannot figure out a way to do this quilt justice so Joan & I have agreed for me to return it to her. She will finish removing what I have sewn & try to get her local longarming friend to quilt it. I so hope it all works out. I don't give up easily & I do feel a longing to fight on but it is not best for anyone. Si la vie. PS: Joan just put this away as was & did nothing with it.
07/18/2014: It's back! Joan says just reload it, finish it & consider it good enough. I admit I am pretty darn picky but if equally picky Joan is okay with this one for what is and is not, well, then so I am. Hmmm maybe & maybe not. Joan will machine bind it.
On second thought, I must take out the smoke monopoly. I have since learned that it does not hold up in a dryer over time. Also, I already took out some of the quilting 2 years ago. There is no way I can pick up where I left off. Get to do it right after all. And so the quilt sandwich is now back to 3 pieces--top, back & batting. Clean start over.
Aug 07: While re-programming this afternoon, I simplified the Forget-Me-Knot center. That opens up options. Quilted.
