*DARN!. One can't be too careful. One hasty cut changes a whole project. Or not. When one's daughter owns a quilt shop, there are often fat quarters around from bolts of fabric no longer available. She has just enough.
Nov 05, 2016: These Moda Brighten Up fabrics coordinate with Moda Dot Dot Dash fabric. I like bright happy colors in a scrappy quilt great for any age. Nov 06: Did Yellow Brick Road renditions. Dec 17: Did Take 5 rendition. Mar 14, 2017: Did Cinnamon Toast rendition. May 24: Bought the Cinnamon Toast pattern. Jan 29, 2018: Met Shana of Mark of Eden Salon who says she wants a handmade quilt & loves color. Of all the colorful projects available, this the one that caught her heart. Jan 30: Did a 90" x 100" quilt rendition of Cinnamon Toast. Remembered I had purchased more of these fabric last April during the Ye Olde Forest Quilters Moving Sale. This gives me enough for a very large quilt. Feb 01: After spending most of Jan 30 on this design & 1/2 of today, we just got a comment. Yes. Feb 06: This quilt is a go. I will start as soon as I finish 3 ongoing projects. Should be this weekend. Feb 11: Pre-washed. Feb 13-14: Piecing. I rarely use marking pens but need them for this project. Just ordered several from Ye Olde Forest Quilt Shop. Feb 17: Got my pens today so back to work soon. Feb 19: Marking diagonal seams...2 per square set. Stopped to make a complete block. DARN!* (see above) Mar 16: Replacement fabric is here. Mar 18-26: Piecing. Mar 26: Quilt top finished Mar 27-28: Piece the backing Mar 29: Shana chose Kra-Zee Day-Zees for her longarm pattern. Mar 29: Using Bottom Line Silver & W&W batting. Mar 28: Select a batting (W&W) Mar 28-30: Prepping & loading. Mar 30: Quilting. Mar 31: Binding is ready. Mar 31: Quilted. Mar 31: Square the quilt & attach the binding to the front of the quilt Apr 01: Fold the binding to the back & clip for hand work Apr 01: Start hand binding using an invisible ladder stitch. Apr 04: Binding is done & thus the quilt is done.
