A certain granddaughter will be very happy on her March birthday! Nancy needs her quilt complete with binding in mid-March. Feb 24: Nancy's adorable quilt arrived today from California via UPS. Feb 27: Have Nancy's pattern selection posted. Loaded the thread and adjusted the tension. Cut the batting (and went ahead and cut it for all the quilts in house that need Warm & White). Feb 28: Backing & batting are loaded. IQ is programmed. Next ironing and then loading the top. Feb 29: Quilted. Next I need to prepare and attach the binding. Mar 01: Squared the quilt and prepared the binding Mar 02: Attached the binding. Started hand binding. Mar 03-04: Still binding... Mar 05: Finished. Will ship when the snow melts enough for me to get out safely.

Linda, you are amazing! What a beautiful job you did quilting Leia's birthday quilt. All smiles here...thank you so much. It is so fun to see what is happening at the cabin. I love your site and caring spirit!

Linda, now that I see the photos of your beautiful binding and finished work, I am so looking forward to seeing it "in person"! Be careful on your snowy driveway! Also I wanted to tell you, I forwarded your photos of the quilt to Leia's mom (my step-daughter) and she said Leia has taken to "borrowing" her older brother's quilt that I made him several years ago. She said the timing is perfect for Leia to get her own quilt. I will make Leia a book of the pictures you have posted and write her a story about all the love and care that went into making it just for her, and how it traveled in a box in the snow to be quilted and finished by a very special friend and then came all the way back to California. I will send you a photo of Leia with her quilt. She will be turning three years old and is cute as a button. Thank you so much, Linda! You are the best! I am so excited to have found you, and I am happily piecing my next quilt for my grand niece knowing what good hands it will be in with you.
