Jan 05: Started planning.
Jan 11: Before I could hear back from Ted, some of the fabrics I selected were no longer available. Redesigned a simpler quilt. Ted loves his dogs so we needed a quilt that would be compatible. The fabrics are all flannel & I will use wool batting. Since Ted sleeps in the dogs' bed .... I mean since the dogs sleep in Ted's bed ... they should all be comfy.
Jan 12: Sent Ted this plan. Hope he likes it because I ordered the fabric last night. He does. I bought enough extra plaid & fabrics to get free shipping & to make a 2nd smaller quilt for me. Will be piecing both at the same time.
Jan 23: Fabric is here. Prewashing.
Jan 24: Everything is cut ready to sew.
Jan 27: Borders are ready to attach.
Jan 29: Backings are pieced. Attaching borders.
Jan 30: Quilt tops are finished ready to quilt.
Feb 01: A true mountain man very familiar with firearms, Ted selected Ellen Munnich's Revolver pattern. For the 2nd one I am thinking a 50% offset version of my honeycomb pattern.
Feb 17: I am not the only one who loves Haberdashery.
May 03: Prepping for longarming. Decided on Tangerine thread, a new one I picked up last weekend at the moving sale. Programmed the revolvers.
May 04: Loaded ready to quilt.
May 05: Quilted. Now for the binding. While attaching the binding I noticed some loose thread then discovered the horrific tension on the back. Looks like one entire row is like this. It will be very easy to take out but I will have to reload to re-quilt the row. Such is longarming.
May 06: Fixed the bad row, finished attaching the binding. Quilt is clipped ready for hand work.
Jun 03: Started hand binding.
Jun 07: Binding is finished & thus the quilt is finished. Will deliver this afternoon. Ted loves his quilt so much he wants one for Ana, his girlfriend.
