On October 15 at the shop, I purchased & first mentioned my quilt with Park Avenue Shadow fabrics and started this quilt. I saw a quilt with this layout at a show, loved it, jotted it down. The fabric features birds, branches and red roses. This high contrast quilt resembles a checker board and/or Irish Chain. It is different, to be sure! I originally planned to sell this one, but have decided now I will quilt it with two layers of wool batting. The temps up here are already dipping into the 20's so I need warmth. Why not make it beautiful warmth. This quilt is a bit longer and wider to drape down over the mattress. This quilt has proven to be perfect warmth down to 54 degrees and does not over heat me when the auto-thermostat brings the temp back up in the morning before I rise.
Alas, Fall Flannels goes back in the closet & Steam Engine Panels will hibernate until spring/summer.
