Sep 2009: Purchased the fabric.
Feb 2010: Quilted.
Mar 06: Squared.
Mar 13: Attached the binding. My sister, Sandy, did the binding because I didn't know how.
Apr 10, 2014: Met Harold & took him a quilt. Not just any quilt. A very special quilt. My first custom quilt. Perhaps my 3rd longarmed quilt. A favorite!
Apr 11: As I wrote a friend this morning: "Yesterday, out of the blue, I knew my train quilt needed to go to Harold. I fixed all the places where the borders were coming unraveled & made sure they were secure. I went to see him & asked if he would receive it. He did. Later last night, his daughter told me he loved trains and used to collect them. HA!
I've not slept well lately (under that favorite quilt perhaps because it was just too long). Went back to my little homespun monkeys last night & slept like a baby. Quilts are precious but sleep is essential. Both are best when they go together just right." Now if he will just stop worrying that someone will steal it.

You are so thoughtful and dad loves the quilt. Beautiful! Dad doesn't say much but I could tell he is very proud of the quilt. I've have family call me tonight asking about the quilt dad told them about. May God continue to lead you to bless others as I have been bless knowing you! Love ya! And hope you're enjoying those bottled drinks you bought today :)
