On the way out the door Friday morning (Feb 17) to buy a replacement PC for the one that went dead Thursday night, UPS greeted me with a large box I wasn't expecting. I didn't recognize the sender. When I opened it I was surprised to find not 1, not 2 but three quilt tops, backings, instruction sheets, printouts from my Price Quote Estimator Tool and corresponding checks. I had a return address but no phone number and no email address. With urgent computer problems I was not able to search for a phone number until this morning. Thus I met Celia. I will let her tell you what happened from her end. (Read her comment.) All is well. And there is plenty of time to get everything done. Celia has agreed for me to do her quilts after the ones I am already expecting even though hers are here and the others are in route. Thank you, Celia. Still laughing here! What will happen tomorrow? Dare I ask!! LOL Now for what everyone comes here to see--beautiful quilts!! Puppy Dogs Quilt Mar 05: Celia selected her IQ design. I called Linda after receiving her call to me.......the story is that I had to apoligize to Linda for being so in-a-hurry to get my quilt tops quilted. I am a hand quilter with a 86 year old quilter (my mentor) that I attend church with. She is now moving to a retirement center about 4 hours away from me on March I. I have agreed to be at a craft bazzarr that raises money to buy banannas for our soilders sent to other countries. I wanted to have my tops quilted by machine to help me get them finished. After looking on the web sight I chose Linda. Excited, happy, and hasty....I sent them without speaking to Linda 1st. She has forgiven me and is going to quilt them. Thank you Linda.

I moved your comment to this post so it wouldn't get deleted. I always (try) to keep the first post as a list of what's in progress so often have to delete and re-create it to do that.

You didn't tell me the part about bandannas (?). I will have to do something about that...like some free quilting or discounts. I am grateful for your not-a-goof after all.

Linda. I will send you a bandanna that has the scripture printed on it. I live near Seymour Johnson airforce base and as they leave we are allowed to give them to their sargents to give out to the soilders. I keep a few with me most of the time in case I meet young men who may be deployed. I never pass up ma chance to thank these men for looking out for my family and my country. They seem to appreciate the bandannas. We also give them to our reserves. They use these for sweat bands, covering their face from the sand, or just to carry for inspiration. The scripture on the bandanna is Psalm 91:. The program is called Operation Bandanna and there is a web sight if you would like to read more Operationbandana.org. happy quilting.

The quilts above are beautiful. The last one is my favorite. As an old florist, I have now become a "blooming idiot"! If I had a pattern I would like to make some bandannas too. God Bless you.

Good morning, Suzi. I made up my own. Terrie is making one too & will design her own. Perhaps you can find a quilt pattern with an on-point center focus and use the bandana there. I think Terrie is planning to use hers as pieces rather than the whole. Time to get original and creative.
